My Mt. Kilimanjaro Trek For Amnesty

On July 20 this year I am going to climb to the summit of Kilimanjaro Mountain (nearly 6000 meters) to raise funds to support the valuable work that Amnesty International do for human rights. I am committed to raise $10 000 to help Amnesty in their mission to defend human rights.

To help raise these funds I have help two major charity events. The first event, Wild Africa was hosted by Generations Cafe. This event was a huge success. The ladies at Generations, and the wonderful people who came along to support this event, helped to raise about $1700. This Sunday session was great fun and had a fantastic atmosphere. The second event 'The Summit' Latin Fiesta was a great night out for those who came. The band Mambises was teriffic and there were plenty of great prizes to go around.

I would like to thank all the wonderful individuals and businesses that have sponsored and supported me in one way or another. You have all helped to make this a better place by supporting Amnesty International.

I am back on track with my training with Melissa McInerney, my personal trainer from Snap Fitness Sandgate helping me with with my health and fitness training for the big climb. She has me working out in the gym and out and soon I'll be out and about. So glad she makes training fun!

I would like to say thank you to the wonderful friends and family who have sponsored me so far. At this stage I have raised about a quarter of my goal amount which is fantastic, but I have a long way to go.

Please help me raise the funds needed so that the campaign for human rights can continue.
